Four standard steel test panels were selected, three of them treated with System X, a US leading paste wax, and a US leading paint sealant. One panel was left untreated to act as a control. After curing they were tested by being placed into a salt water solution for 10 hours. The four panels were submersed in a 14% salt water solution for 10 hrs, 4x more concentrated than the the world's oceans (AVG. 3.5%). After 10 hours in the salt water solution the panels were removed and allowed to dry for two more hours. System X exhibited superior salt water resistance, all other panels were significantly damaged. These results indicate System X imparts superior performance to substrates in salt water environments, and easily resists road salts and de-icing solutions.
